CO-ACTIVATORS FOR SUPERIOR PRODUCTION & PERFORMANCE

The Acti range of products are used as coactivators for improved curing at reduced zinc levels. The products give unique modifications to existing properties and can broaden design parameters of formulations.

6 RANGE

The 6 range of additives operate in the sulfur curing of diene rubbers and are specific to coactivating sulfenamide accelerator types. These products deliver improvements to cure kinetics and physical properties by forming types and lengths of sulfur cross-links that are different from conventional zinc-based cures. This allows the Acti range to deliver both cost savings and property improvements to the process of rubber manufacturing.

The 6 Range is available in two product ranges:

  • 6 is formulated for general manufacture, i.e. shoe and general rubber goods
  • T6 is a high strength formulation tailored to heavy industrial applications i.e. Tyre, belting and mining applications to name a few.

 

The 6 Range is available in two different physical forms for convenience:

  • Actiwax which uses a Sasol FischerTropsch wax for processing advantage.
  • Acti 6/T6 which uses a TPE carrier for easier mixing where wax content is not desired.

Actiwax

The Actiwax range utilizes a rubber compatible Fischer-Tropsch wax specifically designed for incorporation into a rubber matrix. This tailored design improves the mixing kinetics of most rubbers, allowing for ease of processing and uniform dispersion through the rubber system. Within this wax substrate is a nano-composite with an inert core of Silica and our patented coactivator technology.

Actiwax T6 ® is an additive for diene rubbers that use a sulfur based cure based on a sulfenamide accelerator. The product delivers a pronounced effect on the curing reaction and excels in applications that require high abrasion resistance and tensile strengths such as tire and mining rubbers, etc. It is a high concentration, high ‘punch’ coactivator.

ACTIWAX 6

Actiwax 6 was designed to replace the ZR6 powder product that launched Rubber Nano Products. It surpasses the previous powder in its stability, shelf life, ease of use and incorporation into a rubber system. These properties along with the improvement in mixing kinetics that the Fischer-Tropsch wax brings makes Actiwax 6 a worthy successor to the noble powder that launched this company.

ACTIWAX T6

The product delivers a pronounced effect on the curing reaction and excels in applications that require high abrasion resistance and tensile strengths such as tire and mining rubbers, etc. It is a high concentration, high impact coactivator.

ACTI 6/T6

Acti 6/T6 provide our customers with a convenient pellet form of our product that is bound in a TPE. This provides an elegant and convenient solution that allows rubber goods manufacturers to reap the benefits of our technology when they are unable to use waxes in their formulations.

7 RANGE

The 7 Range of additives operate in the sulfur curing of diene rubbers and are specific to dibenzyldithiocarbamate (BEC) accelerator types e.g. ZBEC and TBZDT.

With the introduction of more stringent EU legislation, the 7 Range offers compounders the ability to maintain the qualities of rubber goods whilst achieving compliance.

The 7 range allows formulations to be completely MBT and nitrosamine free; this is accomplished while maintaining many of the cure benefits of traditional sulfenamide cures.

This range is composed of a nano composite with an inert Kaolin core and then bound in a suitable carrier form.

Two different carrier forms for convenience:

  • Actiwax 7 which uses a Sasol FischerTropsch wax for processing advantage.
  • Acti 7 which uses a TPE carrier for easier mixing where wax content is not desired.

ACTI 7

This is the TPE bound version that allows compounders to achieve all of the benefits of using Actiwax 7, but where wax content in the formulation is undesirable. This has been particularly useful in the shoe industry where concerns over glue adhesion between rubber layers are a priority consideration. Only used for BEC based cure systems like ZBEC or TBZTD. The use of TPE allows for easy mixing and dispersion.

ACTIWAX 7

The Actiwax range utilizes a rubber compatible Fischer-Tropsch wax specifically designed for incorporation into a rubber matrix.
